Special Management Service of the O.P. for the OPIS

The Special Management Service of the Operational Programme for the Information Society (OPIS) is one of the managing authorities of the 25 Programmes (Sectoral and Regional) of the 3rd Community Support Framework (2000-2006) and is co-financed by the European Social Fund and the European Regional Development Fund.

M. Stelios Christakos has been the Director of the Special Managment Service since the 21st of December 2004.

The “IS” OP is currently on the fifth year of its implementation and its progress can be evaluated by its results so far.

Human Resources

Special services are staffed either by transferring personnel working in the competent ministry or region or by detaching personnel working in bodies of the wider public sector of article 1, para 2, L 2000/1991 with any kind of employment relation and by hiring new personnel.
