The Special Secretariat for the Information Society secured another 40M€ for the “IS” Operational Program that will be dedicated for the development of services aiming at the facilitation of the citizens’ daily transactions with the public institutions.

For the year 2004 the losses of the “Information Society” Operational program’s resources will be zero or in the worst case negligible, thanks to the application of the rule “ν+2”.  Those who talked of losses ranging from 120M€ up to 150M€ have been proven wrong.

The Special Secretary for the Information Society, prof. V.Asimakopoulos, signed the incorporation of the project “Get Connected II” in the “Information Society” Operational Program. The total budget of the project is 50.212,505M€.

The Inter-Party Committee approved during the meeting of 6/9/2004 the bid of sub-project 1 of the National Public Administration Network “SYZEFXIS”.

In the context of  “Invitation 65 for culture”, the Special Secretary for the Information Society, prof. Vasilios Asimakopoulos signed, on the 26/05/2004, the decisions for the incorporation of sixteen (16) cultural interventions in the Operational Program for the Information Society. The total budget of the projects is 8.52M€.
