A presentation of the action of state aids “Financing of Businesses for the Development of Broad Band Access in Greek Regions” of total budget equal to 210,000,000 € has been made at the facilities of IS S.A.

The project has been integrated to the OPIS of the C’ CSF and is co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) by 70% and by 30% by National Resources. The presentation is part of the Public Consultation process, for the submission of remarks, opinions and suggestions on the Action Submission, Evaluation and Implementation Manuals.

Apart from the Chairman and the competent managers of the company, the presentation also featured the Head of the Special Management Service of OPIS, representatives of the Ministry of Transport & Communication and more than 50 representatives of Information and Communication Companies.

The participants have referred to the project planning, including the participation conditions, eligibility of expenses, evaluation criteria, implementation schedule, technical-financial specifications etc., whereas the presentation was followed by an open discussion with the market operators that were present.

The project «Financing of Businesses for the Development of Broad Band Access in Greek Regions» concerns the development of broadband infrastructure and the provision of broadband services in Greek regions.

The total budget of the project is 210,000,000 € (50% Private Participation and 50% Public Expense).
