New electronic service by the GSIS: Integration of EU Regulations to National Legislation
Source GSIS (General Secretariat for Information Systems)
A new service has been launched by the General Secretariat for Information Systems. It involves the monitoring for subsequent integration of EU Regulations to our National Legislation. The GSIS is an office of the Ministry of the Economy and Finance.
The aim of the new service – with its own internet presence at www.gsis.gr – is to support the tasks of the General Secretariat of the Government which basically involves the integration of EU Regulations to the National Legislation. The users of this service will be all the government ministries with integration obligations.
The General Secretariat of the Government will use this service as a tool to monitor the processes of integration (Ministry – Directorate – Government agency) and shall be advised of the problems that may arise and provide guidelines for fast and optimal integration of EU Regulations with the National Legislation.
The required software application was designed exclusively by the staff of the General Secretariat for Information Systems. It was based on the CIRCA extranet tool which was developed under the European Commission IDA programme for public administration needs.
