The Special Managing Service of the Operational Programme “Information Society” and the Institute of Social Protection and Solidarity of the Ministry of Health – within the framework of the project for the supply and distribution of digital television decoders (Invitation No. 158) to people with Disabilities - organize an one-day conference for the information and awareness of the public on the following subject-matter: “Television for all – Decoders for People with Disabilities”.

During the conference the disabled people’s needs for access to digital television will be presented as well as the digital platform of ERT, the technical specifications and the procedure of supply and distribution of decoders to People with Disabilities.

Moreover, extensive information will be provided by an interdisciplinary group of experts and representatives of the National Confederation of Disabled People (ΕSΑmeΑ), which was formed by IKPA with the objective to record the needs of Disabled People with regard to digital television access and to configure the required specifications of the decoders to be distributed to People with Disabilities for this cause.

The event is interesting for companies implementing activities in the sector of decoders’ manufacture and trade, for television channels, Applied Multimedia IT departments (Universities and TEIs) and special scientists.

The one-day conference will be held on July 13th at 9:30, in the Conference Hall/ Press Center of the Information Secretariat General, 11 Fragoudi and Al. Pantou, Kallithea, next to Panteion University.
