In connection with Call No. ‘93 of the Operational Program (O.P) “Information Society”, the Municipality of Veroia, Region of Central Macedonia, announces that the Tender Document regarding the construction of a Metropolitan Fiber Optic Network will be available for public consultation until April 25, 2006.

This local project comes under the broader action “Development of Ancillary Broadband Infrastructure (Construction of Metropolitan Broadband Fiber Optic Network) in less developed areas of the Hellenic Sovereignty”, in the context of Action 2: ‘Development / Implementation of local access broadband networks’, Measure 4.2 ‘Development of Infrastructure for Local Access Networks’ under the Operational Program Information Society of the 3rd CFC.

The object of this Call is the procurement, installation and setting to proper operation of the Network. The Network shall comprise ducts, wells, fiber optic cables, terminating sets, joints, interconnections and nodes, active equipment and possible wireless links, etc. A detailed description of the equipment is given in the relevant Appendices.

The budget for this project is 907.250,17 € (including VAT).
