System for the timely dispersion of meteorological information of increased accuracy (in terms of time and place) of the National Meteorological Service (ΕΜΥ) and prevention from natural disasters for the protection of the society
The project relates to the development of an accurate and timely meteorological information dispersion system and the development of a natural disasters prevention system.
As far as development of the meteorological information dispersion system is concerned, expansion and modernization of the meteorological stations and radars’ network are scheduled as well as acquisition of an automated electrical discharges’ detection system and improvement of the infrastructure used for the processing and production of meteorological information of high accuracy; moreover, improvement of storage and traffic conditions of information and production of user access-friendly products are provided.
As far as the prevention system of natural disasters is concerned, the project includes the necessary interventions so as the production of specialized meteorological products is achieved which will aim at the timely information of the competent state bodies for the citizens’ protection and their activities that might be affected by dangerous weather conditions.

The audit and cross-checking of enterprises’ data with regard to the staff of special categories that they employ or are about to hire with the aim to improve monitoring of corporations’ compliance with the provisions of Law 2643/98, as valid each time.

The digital processing of data and the electronic provision of points (credit – relating to their priority for recruitment) to persons of special categories so as this recruitment procedure is correct and transparent and the points granted depend directly on the correct priority order, placement, hiring or appointment of candidates.

The first project relates to the integrated mapping of business/ corporate operations in the sector of Social Insurance and at the same time aims at defining a specific and consolidated strategy concerning the expansion, development and operation of the existing and future Social Insurance information systems which will facilitate its business activities. This project encompasses the development of a model of information architecture by mapping not only the information exchanged but also its recipients, and recording at the same time the information flow in terms of time.
The second project relates to the operational modernization of the Social Insurance Bodies of Social Insurance Secretariat General; the ultimate objective is confrontation of operational and organizational problems.
The main objective of the study is evaluation of the first study titled “Mapping of Business/ Corporate Operations and Strategic Planning of Social Insurance Information Systems”; the main criterion is the existing procedures, effectiveness and adaptability to the new digital working environment developed by electronic services in the sector of Social Insurance.
