Measure 1.1 offers an indirect contribution to the aims of NAPE, through the projects of equipping schools and connecting them to the Internet, as well as through the creation of public information centers within libraries.
Measure 1.2, in the framework of the project of Training Teachers in the Use of ICTs in Education, offers both a direct and an indirect benefit to the aims of NAPE, given that these programs and the promotion of flexible forms of training, including e-learning, contribute greatly both directly to ‘the promotion of growth for human resources and life-long learning’ (Guideline 4), as well as indirectly to the ‘promotion of integration, and the combat of discrimination against disadvantaged individuals in the labour market’ (Guideline 7).
Measure 1.3, in its effort to assuage inequality in the access of cultural material by people with special needs, is serving indirectly the aims of NAPE, with projects about visitors’ information systems in museums and archaeological sites, and the digital exhibition of the history of the Olympic Games, with a time frame for completion up to 2006.
