The materialization progress of the O.P. “IS” is systematically documented by the Assessment Authority in order to be able to have a clear picture of the progress achieved and furthermore, to ensure that the funds provided are utilized in the most effective manner.
Within this framework, the current course of the program is entirely reflected in the O.P. materialization data, as is the course of each axis of priority and measure accessed within it. Concurrently, a comparative assessment is conducted of the absorption of funds that are provided to each axis of priority.
Similarly, data is collected regarding the absorption of funds, by measure of action and by carrier, such as public administration, carriers of the greater public sector, local self governments and academic institutions, to assess which phase of the OP financed and integrated projects each of these groups is presently in.
In this manner, there is a clear picture as to how and where the funds are being dispersed, which carriers utilize the capabilities provided to them by the Information Society, conducting projects benefiting the whole of society, as well as being able to clearly identify some cases where a greater effort is required in order to achieve the aims that have been set.
Utilizing these comparative results, each of the final beneficiaries is in a position to know how they have managed the funding that they have received, which are the “strong” points with regards to the materialization of the Acts and in which sectors, based on the axis of priority and the aims set, greater effort should be made.
