On 14th June 2006, Wednesday the Observatory for the Information Society and the National Technical University of Athens organize a one-day conference titled “New Development and Financing Tools for the ICT Sector”.

During the conference the major determinants for the implementation of projects encompassed in the Sector of Information Technology and Telecommunications in Greece in conjunction with the available forms of finance will be investigated.

The objective is the future of ICT and the perspective of getting over the up to present obstacles.

The following thematic axes define the general reference framework of the Conference’s works:

• ICT: Leverage for development of the Greek economy
• Financing opportunities for ICT today
• OPIS and PPP: opportunities and experiences from their implementation in the ICT sector

The event will be held in Athens Ledra Marriott Hotel (Room Aegean, 115 Siggrou Avenue, Athens).
