The Steering Committee for the Libraries’ Support organizes an International Conference for public and municipal libraries under the title “Informational Education – the Key to Life Long Learning” in collaboration with the Delegation of the European Commission in Greece and under the auspices of the Ministry of Education in Athens on June 14-16 2006.

Successful applications of informational educations will be presented in the conference from public libraries in Germany, France, Spain, United Kingdom, Netherlands, USA, Egypt and Turkey.

Moreover, workshops will operate consisted of few members which will address issues, such as the role of librarians in the IT era, practical application of the informational education for pupils of primary and secondary education, support techniques of the informational education, methods of activating the participation in the process of education and post-graduate studies, etc.
