The presentation of the action of state subsidies titled “Finance of Enterprises for the Development of Broadband Access in the Regions of Greece”, of a total budget of € 210,000,000 was made at the offices of IS S.A.

The project has been included in the OPIS of the 3rd CSF and is co-funded by the European Fund of Regional Development (EFRD) by 70% and by 30% by National Resources. The presentation is encompassed within the framework of the Public Consultation procedure for the submission of remarks, views and proposals on the Action’s Submission, Evaluation and Implementation Guides.

Besides the chairman and the competent executives of the company, the following persons attended the presentation: the Head of the Special Management Service of OPIS, representatives of the Ministry of Transports and Communications and more than 50 representatives of Information Technology and Communications Companies.

The participants referred to the detailed planning of the project including the participation requirements, the eligibility of expenses, the implementation time schedule, the evaluation criteria, the technical-financial specifications, etc. and an open discussion with the market executives followed.

The project “Finance of Enterprises for the Development of Broadband Access in the Regions of Greece” relates to the development of broadband infrastructures and the provision of broadband services throughout the Greek Region.

The total project budget amounts to € 210.000.000 (50% Private Participation and 50% Public Expenditure).
