IS S.A. announces that today, Tuesday 18/04/2006 an open tender will take place with the most financially interesting bid as the awarding criterion, for the selection of a contractor for the project: “Study and Development of the Central Government Web Portal of Public Administration for the Information & Secure Processing of Electronic Transactions of Citizens/ Enterprises”.

The Project is financed by the Operational Programme “Information Society” within the framework of the 3rd CSF by 75% by the European Union and by 25% by National Resources. The Project’s expenditures will burden the Public Investments Programme and in particular SAE 015/3.

The total budget of the project comes up to 9,241,421.00 € including VAT.

The aim of the Project is the development of the single Givernment Web Portal of Public Administration for the information of citizens and enterprises on the provision of complete and safe E-Government services in all levels by a central spot (e-Government Portal), also known as “HERMES National Portal”.

The suggested Government Portal aims both at the complete information of the citizens in regards to their transactions with the Public Administration (physical or electronic), as well as the provision of (selected) complete Electronic Transactions services (3rd and 4th level) from a central spot, offering all necessary infrastructures and applications for the achievement of full interoperability between informatics systems of the Public Administration and the digital authentication of citizens and enterprises.

The time of implementation of the project is defined to twenty-two (22) months after the signing of the Contract.
