Within the framework of Invitation 93 of the Operational Programme IS, the Municipality of Katerini of the Region of Central Macedonia announces that it brings forward the tender documents for the construction of the Metropolitan Fiber Optic Network for public consultation until Monday, May 8th 2006.

The project is included in the broader action “Development of Complementary Broadband Infrastructures (Construction of Metropolitan Broadband Fiber Optic Networks) in less developed areas of the Greek Territory” within the framework of action category 2: Development/ Implementation of broadband local access networks of Measure 4.2: “Development of Local Access Network Infrastructures” of the Operational Programme Information Society of the 3rd CSF.

The subject matter of the invitation is the procurement, installation and securing of right operation of the network, comprised by canals, pits, optical cables, termination, connection and distributing devices and network nodes, active equipment and equipment for potential wireless links, such as those described in detail in the relevant Annexes.

This project’s budget is 1,004,407.67 € (including VAT).
