The SMS of IS informs that the Invitation for the submission of proposals until 10/7/06 for the project “Advanced Telecommunication Services for Citizens and Enterprises” of OPIS of the 3rd CSF in line with article 46 of the General Regulation 1260/1999 of the EC; the project budget amounts to € 10,000,000.00.

This invitation to tender refers to actions regarding the action-category 4: Infrastructures and Services for the development of “Smart Settlements” and “smart buildings” of measure 4.3 “Advanced Telecommunication Services for Citizens and Enterprises”; the Ultimate Beneficiaries for this project are the 12 General Secretariats of the Region (excluding the General Secretariat of the Region of Attica in its entirety and the Prefecture of Thessaloniki from the General Secretariat of the Region of Central Macedonia).

The ultimate beneficiaries of Category 1 will submit their proposals in line with the Template of the Project Technical Report included in the Invitation’s Supporting Material. Each one of the 12 potential ultimate beneficiaries (General Secretariats of the Region) may submit of up to two (2) proposals for the development of smart settlements (for two different municipalities of the region).

The ICT infrastructures and services to be financed will be owned to the proposal’s agency (Municipality) within the administrative boundaries where the specific settlement will be located.

The proposal’s agency/ body (Municipality) in cooperation with the Ultimate beneficiary will propose the required entrepreneurial scheme to utilize and expand the financed infrastructure for the benefit of the settlement’s users.
