Monitoring of the Projects

The Procedures governing the Management of the Projects aim at ensuring the transparency regarding the opportunities that stem from the implementation of the “I.S” O.P These procedures are based on the national and community law.


In this section you can find a short presentation of the SMA’s Unit C competences in relation to the competences of EDEL and of the Payment Authority. You can also find a description of the Inspection procedure (on site, preventive etc) and of the procedures concerning the Financial Adjustment, Disengagement etc.

In order to ensure that the national and community resources are used correctly and efficiently for the implementation of the projects- subprojects, the current legal framework (Community and National Legislation) has founded Inspection Institutions.

Unit C is responsible for the audit of Ultimate Beneficiaries and of Projects financed by OPIS and carries out on-site ordinary (scheduled) and extraordinary audits (when serious indications of informalities exist) by checking whether the legal procedures have been observed during the implementation stage.
