Measure 3.2 includes actions concerning the reinforcement of Greek enterprises in order to be integrated in the IS. Special objectives of the Measure concern the promotion of the use of ICTs by enterprises (especially SMEs).

This will be achieved with the integration of information management into their internal procedures, the promotion of the use of new technologies and tools by enterprises for their inclusion in the new e-business economy, the development of new digital products and services and the creation of digital content for high-speed networks.
These objectives will be achieved by support actions for enterprises and groups of companies in all three sectors of the economy for the introduction of ICTs in their daily operation, with the following aims:
- To adopt new business practices that will improve extroversion and will convert them to e-businesses.
- To improve the management of information within SMEs to increase productivity and competitiveness (operational restructuring, installation of integrated management systems for business resources, improved internal communications in the company, logistics systems, etc.).
- To address special areas such as energy conservation, health and safety, crisis management, environmental protection, etc., and to introduce the practice of tele-work (an action to be planned in collaboration with the Ministry of Employment)*.
For the development of new products and services in digital form, and for the creation of digital content, support will be given to enterprises in all sectors of the economy

1. Reinforcement of SMEs for their introduction in e-business
A group of reinforcement actions for process and tourism enterprises as well as enterprises of multi-active farmers and fishermen (activity apart from agriculture and fishery) are anticipated. Moreover, reinforcement actions are anticipated for services with emphasis on SMEs including:
- Supply of the terminal equipment as a minimum requirement for the connection of the enterprise with the Internet.
- Connection of the enterprise with the Internet for a specific period of time through an Internet service provider.
- Development of a simple commerce web site and its hosting in a portal.
- Procurement of software applications.
2. Reinforcement of SMEs for the improvement of information management
A group of support actions for enterprises or groups of enterprises in the sectors of processing, tourism and services with emphasis on the SMEs for their operational restructuring with the following axes:
- The installation or use of services of management information systems of operational resources, internal organisation and management of the enterprise (management of the supply chain, economic and accounting management, management of human resources etc)
- The adoption of modern tools of e-business (e-shops, e-supply, customer management systems etc).
- The implementation of e-business network projects (business communities, extra-nets, e-marketplaces)
- The development of new products and services of a digital form as well as the creation of digital content.
3. Response to special issues
Support of enterprises in all sectors for the installation or use of advanced information technology systems in order to respond to special issues, such as energy saving, safety –health, crisis management, protection of the environment etc.
