The “Information Society” S.A. (IS S.A.) was founded in March 2001; its only shareholder is the Greek State which is represented by the ministers of Internal Affairs, Public Administration and Decentralization & of Economy and Finance who signed its foundation act.

The increased demands of the Public Sector’s Bodies regarding support in information technology projects included in OPIS have lead the Company to increase its share in the OPIS budget by undertaking a large number of projects as the Ultimate Beneficiary.
