4th Monitoring Committee
The fourth Monitoring Committee of the Operational Programme “Information Society” was set up with the Joint Ministerial Decision No 13669 (Government Gazette 493/Β 27/04/2001) and the meeting convened on Thursday, 18 November, 2004, at 9:30, at “Athinais”.
Topics of the Meeting
The topics of the agenda were the following:
- Approval of the Agenda
- Updating of the Monitoring Committee by the Special Secretary for the Information Society about the progress of the Programme
- Comprehensive presentation of the implementation progress of the Operational Programme, Planning and Acceleration actions
- Information and Publicity Actions
- Brief presentation of the Information Society SA
- Brief presentation of the Greek Observatory for the Information Society
- Approval of the modifications of the Programme complement
- Approval of the Decisions and Conclusions of the 4th Monitoring Committee
Decisions - Conclusions
- The Monitoring Committee unanimously approved the agenda
- The Committee recognises the efforts for the improvement of the implementation progress of the Operational Programme “Information Society” during the last months, as it is expressed by the activation percentage of the priority axes, the percentage of the total budget for the projects which have been incorporated and are being implemented, the rate of carrying out expenses, the number and total budget of the calls that have been published, the contracts signed and the tangible results in specific fields of the programme highlighting the necessity for further acceleration of the Programme. The Committee was informed about the actions of the Special Management Service to the European Commission on how to deal with the “ν+2 rule” of 2004.
- The Monitoring Committee was informed about the operation of the management and monitoring systems of the CSF 2000-2006 in the Special Management Service of the Operational Programme “Information Society” as well as about the re-organisation plan of the Special Management Service in order to respond more effectively to the management, monitoring and audit needs of the Operational Programme in accordance with the obligations arising from the Management and Audit Systems of the CSF.
- The Monitoring Committee studied the proposals of the Special Management Service of the Operational Programme “Information Society: about the modifications in the Programme complement of the Operational Programme “Information Society”. The Committee unanimously approves the modifications in the Programme complement provided the review of the Operational Programme is approved.
- The Monitoring Committee expresses its will to activate, pursuant to the competencies of its chair, if deemed necessary, article 2 of the regulations of Internal Operation of the Monitoring Committee of the Operational Programme “Information Society” “on the setting up of sub-committees and work groups of advisory character in order to deal with special issues”.
