The Annual Report is submitted and approved by the competent Monitoring Committee (MoCo) within the 1st semester of the following year. Then, the Special Management Service (SPS) sends the Annual Report to the European Commission, in agreement with article 37, EC Regulation 1260/1999.

Pursuant to (EC) Regulation 1260/1999 of the Council, of 21st June, 1999 on “General Provisions for the Structural Funds”, and Law 2860/2000 on the “Management, Monitoring and Audit of the Community Support Framework and other Provisions” the Special Management Service (SMS) of the Operational Programme “Information Society” (OP “InfoSoc”) compiles every year the Annual Report of what has been done in the application and implementation of the Programme. 

The structure of the Annual Report of the OP “Information Society” is based on the suggested structure in the relevant working paper of the European Commission. The relevant comments of the ones responsible of the Regional Policy Directorate General of the European Commission are also taken into account. 

The Annual Execution Report of the OP “InfoSoc” includes the following chapters:
 
The 1st Chapter describes briefly the general socioeconomic developments which influence the implementation of the intervention, the changes of the National, Regional and Sectoral policies as well as of the situation in the new technologies field affecting the application of the Programme and possibly bringing on changes in the terms of its execution.

The 2nd Chapter records the application progress of the OP per Axis and Measure. The interventions of the OP about the human resources are mentioned. Projects, innovative for the Greek reality, are also presented.

The 3rd Chapter presents the financial execution of the Programme, with the financial figures being recapitulated in a table,  as regards the carried out expenses per Axis and Measure, and a comparison between the actual financial execution and the relevant commitments.

The 4th Chapter mentions the indices and the performance reserve.

The 5th Chapter analyses the measures and actions securing the quality and effectiveness of the application of the OP.

The 6th Chapter presents the measures securing the compatibility of the application of the OP with the Community Policies.

The 7th Chapter presents the progress of the big projects of the OP “Information Society”.
