Winners and Grand Prize Winners to be announced in Vienna οn 22 March.

Τhe awards will be presented in Vienna 2006 by Dr Heinz Fischer, Federal President of the Republic of Austria, Mrs Viviane Reding, Member of the European Commission and Mr Hubert Gorbach, Vice Chancellor of the Republic of Austria. The gala award ceremony will take place in Vienna's magnificent Hofburg - the imperial palace of the Habsburgs.

The ceremony is organised under the auspices of the European Commission and the Government of Austria, which holds the Presidency of the European Union for the first half of 2006.

The winners have been chosen from among the 213 innovative products and applications from 29 countries which competed for this year's Prize.
